Assessment of Financial Assistance (Part-Time Studies

The award year and subject of the assessment displayed on-screen are indicated at the top of each page. An assessment is generally carried out following receipt of a form, such as an application for financial assistance or a declaration of change.

Summary

The Summary table shows the outcome of the most recent assessment, as well as the previous assessment, if applicable. It indicates the amount of assistance you have yet to receive. The previous assessment shows only the amounts of assistance awarded.

  • Financial Assistance Award Procedures

    At the beginning of the school year, the financial assistance office of your educational institution will issue you a Guarantee Certificate. Once you have this document, you must go to a financial institution recognized under the Loans and Bursaries Program to enter into a Loan Agreement. Shortly after the financial institution has received the certificate, the first payment will be deposited electronically into your bank account. (Payments are usually made at the beginning of the terms so as to make the beginning of the school year easier to manage.
