Permanent Code

The Permanent Code identifies you. It is allocated by the Ministère. The code appears on your secondary school report card, college transcript and all correspondence from the Ministère. It is comprised of four letters followed by eight numbers.

Some universities use their own permanent codes or student numbers. These should not be confused with the Permanent Code allocated by the Ministère.

If you do not have a Permanent Code, you will be unable to use our On-Line Services. If this is your case, you will need to apply for financial assistance by filling out a paper form and mailing it in. The Financial Assistance application form is available on the afe.gouv.qc.ca website. For more information, check with your school’s student aid office.
